Design Specifications for Printer-Friendly Artwork
To ensure your designs are print-ready and avoid any delays, please follow the specifications below carefully. This will help us deliver the best possible print quality.
Design Guidelines
-
Resolution
Ensure your artwork is created at a minimum resolution of 300 PPI (pixels per inch) to maintain sharpness and clarity in print. (Check dpi using this tool before sending artwork) -
Borders
If your design includes borders at the edge of the label, they must be at least 1.5 mm thick to avoid visible misalignment after trimming. -
Color Format
Submit your artwork in CMYK color mode (not RGB) to achieve accurate color reproduction in print. -
Color Accuracy Note
⚠️ Important: Please be aware that on-screen colors often appear 1 tone lighter than the final printed output. This is due to the difference between light-based (screen) and ink-based (print) color rendering. -
Bleed Requirements
-
A bleed area is mandatory to allow for edge-to-edge printing and minor cutting tolerance. Please extend backgrounds and design elements 3 mm beyond each edge of the dieline.
-
-
Multiple Designs
If you're submitting multiple versions of a label, compile them into a single PDF file with each design on a separate page. This ensures they remain organized and print-ready.
File Types and Format Requirements
-
Canva Designs
If your label is created in Canva, please share the design by granting collaborator access rather than sending a PDF or image file.
📎 Refer to the attached image for detailed steps on how to share access in Canva. -
Illustrator Files - SAVE AS ADOBE PDF BEFORE SENDING
-
Include all font files used in your design (formats like
.otfor.ttf). -
If you're unable to share font files, please convert all text to outlines before exporting the file.
📎 Refer to the attached image for steps on converting text to outlines in Illustrator. -
Make sure your file is in CMYK color mode and set to 300 PPI.
- Save the file as a pdf and share in PDF Format
-
-
Other Formats (.png / .jpg / .jpeg / .tiff)
-
These formats are acceptable only if the artwork is at 300 DPI or higher.
-
You can verify the resolution using any free DPI checking tool online (e.g., dpi.lv).
⚠️ We will not be responsible for pixelation or blurriness if low-resolution files are submitted.
