Packamor Custom Print and Production Policy

All custom-printed products, including but not limited to custom-printed boxes, labels, and screen-printed bottles, are not eligible for returns or refunds, except in cases of an “Packamor approved” manufacturing defect or production error attributable to Packamor.

By placing an order for a custom-printed product, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Packamor Custom Print & Production Policy.

Packamor Custom Production Policy

1. Cancellations

An order may generally be canceled before production has commenced, subject to any design, artwork preparation, sampling, material procurement, setup, tooling, or other costs already incurred by Packamor.

Once an order has entered production, cancellation may no longer be possible because materials, labor, and production capacity may already have been committed.

Custom-made and custom-printed products generally cannot be returned or canceled after production has commenced simply because the customer has changed their mind, no longer requires the products, or is dissatisfied with a subjective aspect of an approved design.

Packamor reserves the right to determine whether an order has entered production based on the status of artwork preparation, sampling, material procurement, printing, manufacturing, or other production activities.

2. Manufacturing Defects & Production Errors

If Packamor determines that a product contains a genuine manufacturing or production defect attributable to Packamor, we will, at our discretion, repair, replace, or reprint the affected products.

Examples of manufacturing or production defects may include:

  • Material substantially different from the approved specification
  • Incorrect product manufactured by Packamor
  • Significant printing errors attributable to the production process
  • Substantial deviation from the approved production specifications
  • Material manufacturing defects

A customer complaint does not automatically constitute an accepted manufacturing defect. Packamor may request photographs, videos, physical samples, packaging, shipping cartons, or other information necessary to evaluate the claim.

Where a claim is approved, Packamor's primary remedy will generally be the replacement or reprinting of the affected products.

3. Digital Proofs

For custom-printed boxes and screen-printed bottles, Packamor will provide an online/digital proof, which may consist of a photograph of a printed sample, for the customer's review after receiving the artwork and production specifications.

For custom-printed labels, due to the low production quantities typically associated with these orders, it may not be economically feasible to produce a single physical label solely for approval. Accordingly, digital proofs are not provided for label orders with an order value below $300.

If a customer requires a digital proof for a label order valued below $300, it may be provided at an additional charge of $10 per label design.

It is the customer's responsibility to review the proof carefully and provide approval or request corrections before production begins. Packamor is not responsible for production delays resulting from delayed customer approval or failure to respond to a proof.

A digital proof is intended primarily to allow the customer to review artwork placement, layout, dimensions, text, bleeds, crops, orientation, and other visible design elements.

A digital proof is not an exact representation of the color, density, finish, or physical appearance of the final printed product.

Colors displayed on a computer, tablet, or mobile device may differ from the final printed product due to differences in screen settings, color profiles, RGB-to-CMYK conversion, printing processes, substrates, coatings, lamination, lighting, and other production factors.

Digital proofs may also not accurately represent certain production characteristics, including transparency, overprint effects, ink absorption, substrate characteristics, color changes resulting from CMYK conversion, or the effect of finishes such as matte or gloss lamination.

The customer is responsible for thoroughly reviewing the proof before approval and identifying any errors or changes required in the artwork, including but not limited to spelling, punctuation, typography, layout, spacing, image placement, colors, dimensions, and other design elements.

Once a proof has been approved, the customer accepts responsibility for the contents and specifications reflected in the approved proof.

4. Physical Proofs

For projects where color, contrast, typography, material appearance, or overall visual appearance is particularly important, Packamor strongly recommends requesting a physical proof before commencing full production.

A physical proof provides a substantially more reliable representation of the final product than a digital proof. However, even a physical proof should be considered a 98% closest reference rather than an exact representation of the bulk production run, as the proof and production run may involve differences in production batches.

Physical proofs are available at an additional charge of $50 per printed design and may extend the overall production timeline.

Where a customer elects not to request a physical proof, the customer acknowledges that a digital proof cannot be relied upon as an exact representation of the final printed color or physical appearance.

Packamor will make reasonable efforts to maintain consistency between an approved physical proof and the final production run, subject to normal commercial printing and manufacturing tolerances.

5. Artwork & Design Responsibility

Packamor's complimentary design support is primarily intended to assist customers in preparing artwork for production. This may include Checking image resolution, Checking dimensions, Setting or adjusting bleeds, Converting RGB artwork to CMYK where appropriate, Checking files against production specifications, Making minor technical adjustments required for production, Making minor positioning or formatting adjustments where necessary.

Our complimentary design support does not constitute comprehensive graphic design, art direction, branding consultation, or creative review.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Packamor does not independently determine or modify a customer's Fonts, Font sizes, Colors, Logos, Brand elements, Artwork, Layout, Design concept, Typography choices, Contrast preferences, & Overall visual direction

Design choices are inherently subjective. Unless specifically requested to provide creative input, Packamor's role is to prepare and manufacture the customer's approved design rather than independently reinterpret, redesign, or modify the creative direction.

If a customer requires a specific review of their artwork for legibility, visual impact, color contrast, typography, or overall aesthetic appearance, this should be specifically requested before production and may be subject to additional design fees.

6. Color Accuracy

Packamor will make reasonable efforts to reproduce colors from approved artwork as accurately as possible. However, exact color reproduction cannot be guaranteed.

Color appearance may vary due to factors including:

  • RGB-to-CMYK conversion
  • Pantone-to-CMYK conversion
  • Paper or board substrate
  • Ink absorption
  • Ink density
  • Printing process
  • Coatings
  • Matte or gloss lamination
  • UV finishes
  • Soft-touch finishes
  • Different production batches
  • Lighting conditions
  • Differences between electronic displays and physical products

Colors displayed on electronic devices should therefore not be treated as an exact representation of the final printed color.

Minor variations in color, shade, density, contrast, or finish that occur as part of normal commercial printing and manufacturing processes shall not be considered a manufacturing defect.

Packamor will not accept a return, refund, or reprint solely because the customer believes that the final color looks different from the color displayed on their screen or from the original digital artwork, provided that the product otherwise conforms to the approved specifications and falls within normal commercial printing tolerances.

Where a physical proof has been requested and approved, Packamor will make reasonable efforts to reproduce the production run consistently with the approved physical proof, subject to normal commercial printing and manufacturing tolerances.

7. Finishing & Color

Customers acknowledge that finishes such as matte lamination, gloss lamination, UV coating, soft-touch finishes, foil, and other surface treatments can alter the appearance, contrast, saturation, and perceived density of printed colors.

Such changes are inherent characteristics of the selected printing and finishing processes and do not necessarily constitute a printing or manufacturing defect.

Customers requiring a specific color, contrast level, or appearance are strongly encouraged to request and approve a physical proof before proceeding with full production.
